F2P Guide
Survive NTE as F2P
NTE breaks the gacha mold with no 50/50 loss — 90-pull hard pity is guaranteed to be the rate-up character. This guide shows you how to leverage that after launch, which free characters still matter, and how to avoid spending Annulith before checking current codes and banner timing.
The Headline
90-pull hard pity, no 50/50, no off-banner standard contamination.
Confirmed across four independent sources (Nerdschalk, BuffHub, Dexerto, dotesports). When you hit 90 pulls without an S-class drop, the next pull is guaranteed to be the rate-up limited character — not a random standard S-class, not a 50% coin flip. Soft pity kicks in at pull 70 (rate jumps from 1.87% to ~19.59%). Pity carries between banners.
- 160 Annulith / pull
- 70 soft pity
- 90 hard pity
Post-launch F2P resources
July 3 note: launch-week rewards and the May S-Class selector are historical. New and returning F2P players should start with the active code table, then compare current banner timing before turning one-time account rewards into pulls.
| Source | Reward | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Active redeem codes (9) | Annulith, Fons, Beetle Coins, guide items | Try short-window and Annulith codes before evergreen economy codes |
| Post-launch events | Patch and collaboration rewards | Check the in-game event board before spending pity |
| Main story milestones | Episode and account progression rewards | One-time income that new accounts should clear before pulling |
| Daily and weekly activity | Repeatable currency and materials | Slow but reliable income for saving toward hard pity |
| Launch S-Class Selector Box | 1 free S-class | Expired May 15 if unclaimed; use only if already claimed |
Free characters roster

S-Class Selector decision tree
The launch selector window has passed. If you already claimed it, pick the role gap blocking your team. If you missed it, treat the beginner banner's standard S-Class choice as your next long-term selector.
Do you have a strong Main DPS yet?
If yes →
Pick Fadia
Tank/healer hybrid plugs the most common F2P gap
If no →
Pick Jiuyuan
Top standard-banner DPS, A2 grants team heal
Did you already claim the launch selector before May 15?
If yes →
Use it for Fadia or Jiuyuan
Fill the role your Hotori/Nanally roster still lacks
If no →
Use the beginner banner selector later
The launch selector window is over, but the permanent beginner banner still has a standard S-Class choice
Universal F2P recommendation: Jiuyuan if you need a standard-banner DPS that scales without rate-up dependency, or Fadia if your team has no Tank.
Where to spend July pulls
- 1. Check the current limited banner
Hotori and Lacrimosa's first windows have ended. On July 3, planning should start from the live banner board and the banner schedule, not old launch advice.
- 2. Save for a proven roster gap
Pull for a missing carry, sustain, break, or buffer slot. If the featured character does not solve a real team problem, preserving pity is usually stronger than chasing novelty.
- 3. Don't pull on standard banners early
Standard banners give you Jiuyuan / Sakiri-tier S-class drops, but limited banners have no 50/50 loss. Your Annulith is easier to budget when it moves toward a guaranteed time-limited character.
