Character Build

Adler Build Guide

Shield and Incantation damage that scale with DEF. Equipment choices, an operating sequence and the checks that matter before investing.

A Incantation Condensate Tank

Recommended Arcs

  • PICK Umbrella
  • ALT The Great Thief

Awakening Decisions

A1 changes the opener; A6 extends Blessing.

Module Set

Kingdom’s Guard / Speedy Hedgehog

Stat Priority

DEF% > flat DEF > Break Intensity

Shield first, then leave the field

Evil’s Bane supplies Blessing and continuing Incantation damage. Build DEF, rather than HP, for this job. At A1, use Ultimate before Skill to gain Karma for the Skill’s damage bonus. The Skill can still apply its shield without Karma; without A1, start with Skill for the short support rotation. Refresh coverage before returning to the attacker.

Arcs and modules

Umbrella is the defensive choice. The Great Thief trades that emphasis for team Break support. Match the cartridge to the same purpose: Kingdom’s Guard for protection, Speedy Hedgehog for an Ultimate-triggered team buff. Hedgehog’s team effect does not stack, so inspect the other three characters before giving everyone the same set.

Awakening decisions

A1 supplies Karma on Ultimate; A6 lengthens Blessing to 12 seconds. A4’s overflow protection is based on Adler’s DEF, rather than a blanket percentage of incoming damage. If the shield fails, fix its DEF investment and refresh timing before adding damage stats.

Team slot

Use Adler when the active attacker needs protection and the lineup benefits from Incantation application. In a Scorch lineup, pair that application with Chaos; a second Incantation unit alone does not create Scorch. Shielding also does not replace dodging lethal attacks. Compare the Scorch setup.
