Current global status
Akane Rin has been playable since the October 21 update (maintenance 06:00–11:00 UTC+8), on the Dazzling Star Limited Board with Haniel, Aurelia and Skia, through November 11, 05:59 (UTC+8). Game8’s kit overview describes her as a Lakshana main DPS whose Redirect Skill applies the Overtone debuff and opens Reverb Fields, flexing between single-target and AoE pressure, with the unlock quest starting at “Head to Eibon Antique Shop.” Check your server’s board notice for the local countdown.
Her “House Special” outfit and two million Fons (the standard currency) arrive as anniversary mail. An outfit is not a free copy of the character.
Arcs, cartridge and stats
The build directions below are a first pass from Game8’s October 21 guide — one dated source, not this site’s testing:
- Arcs: her signature Far Side of the Moon (Crit Rate, Redirect Skill / Basic Attack / Lakshana damage) comes from the Celestial Special program. Fluff of Fleetness is the stacking-ATK alternative; The Last Rose only if Lacrimosa is not using it.
- Cartridge: Street Boxer (2pc Lakshana damage, 4pc Crit Chance boosted by Remora/Stain) with a Lakshana DMG% main stat; Shadow Creed as the alternative. Game8’s module section appeared to carry mismatched Linko content when read, so no module claim is repeated here.
- Stats and awakenings: Crit Rate → Crit DMG → Universal DMG% → ATK% → Cycle Intensity; Capo On and Rehearsal Click before Shade Capsules and Headphone Static.
Team archetypes
Game8’s two starting points: a Stain team with Blackbird as sub-DPS plus Esper Zero and Iroi or Sakiri, and a Remora team with Esper Zero, Fadia and Haniel or Sakiri. Community threads through late October described her as heavily Remora-dependent, and players with an established Shinku or Hotori team repeatedly landed on “skip” — read the reactions summarized in the October recap before spending.
Budget before pulls
- Read your Limited Board counter and count only dice already owned; boards share the S-Class pity counter under the official rules. Use the hard-guarantee budget calculator for the remaining shortfall.
- Keep unspent Annulith (pull currency) separate from converted board dice (Limited Board pull tickets), and do not budget an unclaimed event reward as though it were in the wallet.
- Her board closes with the Version 1.4 cluster on November 11; the pity counter carries to a future Limited Board if you save instead.
Separate selector rewards
The Puka Membership Program opens after City Tycoon Level 16 and includes standard-character selection boxes. That is a separate reward track; it does not make a limited character a standard-box choice. Inspect the box’s displayed roster before claiming. Selector decisions.
