Mark before using shadow contact
Shadow Hound Chase applies Fang Thrusts and enters Shadow Hound Gnaw. Moving through a marked enemy triggers their extra attacks. Ultimate improves Fang Thrust damage. Cast close enough for its attacks to connect; pressing it far from a mobile target can waste the window.
Shadow mode can move on walls and approach without detection, but ground damage can end it. It is a movement tool with attack interactions, not invulnerability to every hazard.
Arcs and cartridges
Watch Your Heads! supports Lakshana damage after Redirect and rewards the relevant Remora/Stain conditions. Street Boxer or Shadow Creed are cartridge options. Check whether your team maintains the reaction condition before valuing a conditional bonus like an unconditional stat.
Team purpose
Skia’s Remora enhancement adds another Remora when Fang Thrust attaches to an affected target. This gives the Lakshana slot a reason in the Cosmos/Anima/Lakshana upper Cycle route. A reaction-capable teammate can be more useful than adding a second unrelated attacker.
A reliable opening check
Use Skill in range, confirm marks on the target, use the Ultimate while the target is still accessible, then take advantage of shadow contact or switch according to the team plan. If the sequence fails on a fast enemy, reduce the setup time first. Exploration movement and boss damage are separate tasks; a single universal tier number cannot tell you whether this slot solves either problem.
Awakening choice
A1 strengthens Fang Thrust auto-attacks. A2 adds critical chance and resistance to interruption after Shadow Hound Chase. If shadow contact is repeatedly interrupted, compare the defensive utility before optimizing only the attack ratio; neither effect makes ground hazards harmless.
