Nanally vs Hotori: Who Should F2P Pull on Rerun?
Nanally vs Hotori decision guide for NTE: compare carry value, Cosmos support, Arc pressure, and who F2P players should save for on rerun.
The Banner Situation After June 3
Nanally’s launch banner is over, and Hotori’s first Phase 2 limited banner also ended on June 3, 2026. That changes the decision from “which live banner should I pull today?” to “which character should I save for on rerun or prioritize if both become available again?”
Short answer: prioritize Nanally if your account still lacks a reliable main carry. Choose Hotori only if you already have a damage core and want Cosmos support, flexible field time, or her playstyle.
Current Comparison
| Question | Nanally | Hotori |
|---|---|---|
| Current availability | Gone until rerun | Gone until rerun |
| Main role | Primary DPS | Cosmos DPS / buffer |
| F2P risk | Higher priority, but rerun timing unknown | Lower priority if your account lacks a carry |
| Best account fit | Players who already got her | Players with a carry who need Cosmos coverage |
| Weapon pressure | Strong, but workable with alternatives | Signature Arc is tempting but low priority for F2P |
Why Nanally Is No Longer the Action
Old advice said “pull Nanally first” because she was the launch-banner damage floor. That is still true historically, but it is not actionable after May 13. The page now treats Nanally as a rerun watch, not a live pull target.
If you already own Nanally, Hotori becomes more interesting because she can support a stronger roster instead of trying to carry a weak one. If you do not own Nanally, do not spend just because you feel behind. Wait for the next banner preview unless Hotori specifically solves your team.
When Hotori Makes Sense
Hotori is worth considering when:
- your account already has Nanally, Chiz, Jiuyuan or another stable damage core
- you want a Cosmos unit for Blossom-style teams
- you like her playstyle enough to use her long term
- your pity count is already close to a limited S-Class
- you are comfortable saving through the next stronger carry window
Hotori is a weaker F2P pull when:
- you still have no main DPS
- you are below soft pity and starting from scratch
- you would also feel pressured to pull Marching Beyond Time
- you mainly want account efficiency and not the character herself
Weapon Banner Warning
Hotori’s signature Arc, Marching Beyond Time, is a rerun watch item. F2P players should not chase it before securing the character. NTE’s character pity is cleaner than the Arc banner, and a missing character hurts more than a non-BIS Arc.
Use Reality Refuge or The Forgotten if you need a budget Arc path and keep premium pulls for characters.
Decision Tree
Do you already own a strong main carry?
├─ NO → Save for Nanally rerun or the next proven carry unless Hotori is your favorite.
│
└─ YES → Do you need Cosmos coverage or Hotori's playstyle?
├─ NO → Save pulls for a higher-impact roster upgrade.
└─ YES → Pull Hotori on rerun, but skip the weapon banner unless you have surplus pulls.
Pull Budget Reality
The May 13 Annulith-heavy launch codes have expired. Current active codes are useful, but many are economy rewards rather than large pull injections. That means post-launch F2P pull planning should assume fewer free character pulls than launch-week guides advertised.
If you are below 70 pity, Hotori is not a “cheap check.” You are committing future-banner resources.
Current Recommendation
For most F2P accounts after June 3:
- Save for Nanally or the next proven carry if you do not have a main DPS.
- Pick Hotori on rerun if you already have a carry and need Cosmos / support coverage.
- Skip the weapon banner unless Hotori is a long-term favorite.
- Use the no-50/50 pity ceiling before spending your last guaranteed pulls.
